We brought in speakers from dynamic businesses like the Eden Project as well as case studies from creative hothouses like Pixar in California. The hands-on learning was at Fifteen Cornwall, which saw the team take the company's new values and put them into practice in another setting.
We often find that people understand new concepts intellectually, but when they try and put them into practice they can revert to type. At Fifteen, they saw for themselves how they could work differently, by being open to challenge and to new ways of working. We had the team coach itself too, to bring out how they would bring the new vision to life across the whole business.
Cumulatively, these things were designed to give the leadership the skills, knowledge and behaviours to take the organisation forward. Following the event, we supported each of the leaders with one-to-one coaching as they delivered the programme to their own teams.
